A traffic bridge across Point Baggot to Swanwick would address and solve many issues. It would provide emergency relief for both areas in either direction if needed, would allow the launching of boats from Swanwick ramp/jetty which is deep water, all weather and tide accessable, preserve the conservation of the point, provide a visitor/tourist route and increase Coles Bay bussiness. A traffic bridge with a pedestrian lane would not need to be maned (compared to a barge) have low maintanance and provide a positive management of the area.

Thanks for the comment Chris. All good points that should lead to lively discussion I think! You forgot the shortcut for bicyclists to and from Freycinet too.
